You may already know of Alan Raven's interpretations of Legion's scheme but, as per Dick's comments, he also thought it was at least three colours. But he published two different interpretations of those colours.
In Plastic Ship Modeller (#4, 1997) on page 30 he describes the colours as Dark Grey (nominally 507A), Medium Grey, and 507C.
In his RN Camouflage series, volume 1 (2000) he describes the colours as black, 507A and white.
I assume the second interpretation superseded the first one. I know this doesn't match what Dick says but I'm just relaying what Alan Raven wrote.

Folks:
Does anyone know if there are any photos of HMS Legion in the light gray/dark gray scheme she wore early in her career--beside this one:

Any pointers would be appreciated.
Thanks!
