according to Shipcraft 23 Rodney & Nelson, Les Brown, Seaforth Publishing, p58. Rodney first received the shields during a refit at Plymouth in April 1943

first, were any splinter shields on these guns installed before she Bismarck action?
Also, did she use "ready use ammo lockers" on deck near the guns?
