The box clearly states "Made In China". Brandon (Squadron) is selling the kit for $300. Or at least he was at the show. It will be less expensive to buy it from him rather than to try and import it yourself. Why? Brandon will buy a container load and pay tariffs based on his buy rate. If you buy it from China (which is the only place I've seen this kit for sale other than from Brandon) starting on Aug 28 you will pay $200 in tariffs since the Chinese tariff rate is 35%. That's the flat tariff rate for shipments imported from China. These kits are selling for $250 and up on eBay and originating from China. So it will cost you $450 plus shipping. If you're in the U.S. and want this kit you would be wise to buy it from Brandon ASAP before he runs out.
Yes, the kit is amazingly detailed -- and complicated! No list price was given, but a Canadian who bought one gave a price in the low $300's (US) range. With tariffs shifting every week, it's difficult to predict what anyone in the USA might have to pay -- and it wasn't stated whether the kit manufacturer/exporter was in China or South Korea.
