I've used ordinary CA glue (usually the thicker type), often with an accelerator, for joining hull sections. The trick is to apply any accelerator once you are certain that the pieces are properly aligned; once the accelerator is applied, it will harden the glue within a few seconds. The thicker CA glue will also better fill in any small gaps, which will still likely required some minor puttying and sanding.
