MS 31/6B design sheet shows them in both 5-H and 5-O. She then painted in Measure 21 Navy BLUE (did I satisfy your little rage itch there?) and then after the war was orange, both before she got nuked and maybe afterwards from the radioactivity....
I'm going to continue to research camouflage - you can make your snide comments to make yourself feel bigger while you hide behind a false name all you want.

Previous Message Previous MessageThe 2nd turret 14 inch guns were put on the Nevada to replace worn out barrells. Does any one have a idea when this happen with the Nevada.
The guns were installed during her September-October 1944 availability following Operations Neptune and Dragoon off the shores of France. From her DANFS history :
the battleship departed for Norfolk on 17 September, arriving the next day. Nevada’s gun barrels were relined at the Norfolk Navy Yard and the ship overhauled. Upon completion, she conducted trials (6-7 November 1944) and then steamed for the Panama Canal and the Pacific on 21 November.
