Thanks David! I'm glad I found out before I got to that part of the build. Because Model Monkey includes 1.1" gun tubs and 1.1" director platforms in their 1/700 Arizona set, I'd assumed the guns and directors were on board as well. Previous Message
the Arizona never had the quad 1.1" gun mounts, the radar & the 1.1" directors installed. those where supposed to have been installed sometime in 1942. Previous Message
I'm about to start a 1/700 Arizona Dec/41 build using the Hi-Mold resin kit and Model Monkey's 3d enhancement parts. There was a thread addressing this same question a few weeks back, which is what inspired me to start on it.
The hull looks great so far - no warping or odd overscale details that I've noticed. I'm planning on finishing it with an AA battery of 5"/25 guns from Shelf Oddity and 1.1"s from Bunker Studio.

I built the old MiniHobbyModels kit a long time ago. It sucked.
Are there any other choices now? Or am I stuck with that kit and more 3d printed parts to fix it's issues.
I've seen a Samek kit, MidshipModels, and the Dragon offering. Any others??
Lower hull doesn't matter, I prefer waterline.
