From what I have read, Safari is supposed to be able to overcome all this, and use HTTP and Port 80. The way it is explained, Safari queries the server through Port 80, the server--through SSL--converts the query to HTTPS, and responds through Port 443, which Safari is happy with. If the server is unable to respond through Port 443 (by reason of lack of SSL or TLS) then Safari is supposed to give you the site, but with a warning that it is unsecured.
It appears from the message something went wrong in this process. It looks like Apache "lost" the information in converting from HTTP to HTTPS, giving you a Not Found message in the process. I note that the part that was not found was the last portion of the URL.
Why this is happening has multiple possible causes. My reading does show this is a frequent issue with Safari...it apparently rather commonly has trouble accessing HTTP sites. Indeed, other browsers are accessing the site okay. I use an Android phone with a Samsung browser. I get both the board and the forum just fine. That said, this could be caused by issues with either the browser or the server.
To try to eliminate your browser's end of the problem, this is what Apple Support posts:

If you've tried all this without results, then the problem lies at the server end...it is not configured correctly for the Safari browser. You would then need to contact the webmaster.
