Loren,
Haven't seen you on here in a while. How are you?
Not well, Greg. Just spent 4 days in the hospital with pneumonia. Totally out of breath all the time and not enough energy to do any modeling. Lungs are being ravaged by Sarcoidosis (similar to COPD) requiring me to be on oxygen much of the time. Not to be morbid or sound like I'm fishing for sympathy (the last thing I need!) but just wanting you to know actual facts.
I have a number of unbuilt ship model projects that were never started still hanging around. A few months ago I sent one of my built-up Revell USS Arizona models to my younger brother in Florida as a combined birthday and Christmas present. He was ecstatic when he opened the box and saw what was inside. Total surprise - I never advised him it was coming. Like me, he's also a rabid modeler. Thank God we had the foresight to avoid basements and attics (and their stairways) when we built this house 20+ years ago.
Getting back and forth to the workshop and airbrush equipment takes a lot out of me and leaves me panting like a racehorse. So now my model ship building experience is mostly via YouTube videos.
I'll try to show up here again. I lurk around the periphery on a daily basis but seldom have anything useful to add to any discussion. This was one of those rare exceptions.
Thanks for you nice inquiry! That meant a lot to me.
