I notice the last two links are claiming they are a government site. So, from Navsource themselves:
"Photo Archive Main Index
NAVSOURCE is not endorsed by or affiliated in any way with the U.S. Navy, The Naval Historical Center, The U.S. Government or any of its departments."
Again, though the site is down, search results still give links to it, and the above was taken from the site then attached to the link given by the search.

They are not a government site. So, that would not apply.
Everything I have found online about Navsource:
This from Navsource itself. Site is down, but search results give snippets of info like this:
"Meet the NavSource Team
NavSource is not a business, it is a group of volunteers who are not paid for their time and efforts; we do it because we all share the same respect and love ..."
"The Current NavSource Team Members ; Paul R. Yarnall Project Founder, Manager, Server Administrator ; LT Gary Priolo USN Ret. Project General Manager, Manager ..."
From this site:
https://www.familylegacyvideo.com/1399/locate-u-s-navy-history-ship-photos-at-navsource-naval-history-site/
"NavSource Naval History is a volunteer-run site devoted to preserving naval history, in large part through a comprehensive collection of photos. Some of the shots were taken by U.S. government employees; others come from private collections. The site is a labor of love and offers a wealth of information."
This verifies it is down:

If below link is true, this would be Paul Yarnall, but I can't locate an obituary:
https://www.facebook.com/groups/museumships/posts/1745099472764594/
Company info, more team member names:
https://www.zoominfo.com/c/navsource/353118877
https://www.datanyze.com/companies/navsource/353118877
I could try running searches on all those names, but see no point in it. I will go with the Facebook info, rumor that it is, with them the sole site claiming this, and no obituary for Paul R. Yarnall to be found in Missouri. It is still "plausible." Actually, I hope it is something else more minor, and they'll come back up soon.
For whatever this is all worth. Previous Message
I just tried again, still no luck after 3 days.
I'm not going political, just asking, but has someone decided that it falls under "waste, fraud & abuse" and cut it off? Or any other of the budget cuts as low hanging fruit?
