Takao class had E Model turrets, Maya had E1. The turrets 1, 2, and 4 had 6-m rangefinders. The one in turret 1 was removed
The turrets of the Mogami class were derived from the E1,but modified to fit to the larger diameter of the roller paths. They were longer (8.4 m instead of 8.2 m). The rest was identical.
Turrets 3 and 4 had Type 13 8-m rangefinder.
