Unfortunately, neither printed colors, nor computer/phone displays, necessarily produce reliable, calibrated colors.  Previous MessageJordan & Dumas French Battleships 1922-1956, Seaforth Publishing 2009, p135 has a colour profile of Richelieu 1952 in a light grey which is lighter that the colorized photo which also appears to be too blueish. It is also lighter than the USN late war light grey which is shown on the same page HTP Previous MessageRight...I suspected that. But somewhere I've seen color picture and the grey is close.
