Hi Brett,
From 1921 the NZ national flag was the jack for vessels of the NZ Division of the RN, then (upon its formation) of RNZN ships.
I'm busy looking for my copies of Harker's books to see what he says, and what photos are in them, as he was aboard these ships at that time.
