Sorry, but I can't help. I've looked at my Kagero book on the Hunt class in Polish Service and can't find anything mentioned. In Norman Friedman's book on Naval Anti-aircraft Guns and Gunnery, the Holman Launcher is mentioned albeit no photos or diagrams. The weapon was withdrawn from service in late 1941 due to difficulties in fitting and maintaining pipes for steam and/or compressed air. According to DEMS ( Defensively equipted merchant ships ), the Holman launcher caused more injuries to the users rather than the enemy.

In his book "Destroyers, Greyhounds of the Fleet", Peter Saxton is telling that HMS Hambledon, a Hunt I Class destroyer, was equipped with a Holman projector which was later replaced with two Lewis guns.
Does anybody know where this device was palced?
Thanks in advance
