As Scott says, the Prinz Eugen kit, first released in 1975, had a scored hull that made it easier to waterline. The Airfix Belfast, first released in 1973, also had a scored hull.

Recently on YouTube I watched a guy build the old Airfix Moscow kit and it showed how you could water line this old kit.So my question is how kits after the Moscow kit came out(1969-71?) by Airfix were
waterline possible. I just remember they seem full
hull kits.Anyone know.
