I got Ashevilles in 1/700 from PT Dockyard decades ago. They're cast resin, and intended as wargame pieces. At the time, though, they were all that was available. I am very much a sentimentalist. I am not finding myself wanting to repeat the subject with an upgrade. (And the same for upgrading my PT Dockyard Cyclone subjects to the new 3D prints from SS Models.) I am delighted these new kits are available for others, though. Previous Message
Thank you, Ralph for pointing out the difference of these two versions. I took some time to figure this out also. I will build both and also missile carrying version also. Previous Message
The photos provided are showing together random parts from both versions, and they use the same photos for both kit entries. However, if one studies it, the US version has the gas turbine intake printed on between the two diesel funnels while the Greek Navy version has just the two diesel funnels. The Greeks removed the gas turbines, and run the ships as only diesel vessels.
Looking at the photo provided of the actual Greek Navy vessel, the gas turbine intake is indeed not there.
So, there are two versions, and that is the promary difference (if not the only one.) Previous Message
There are indeed 2 versions. 1 makes USS Crocket. The other, a Hellenic version.

I see no obvious differencs at a glance. Even the decal sheets look the same, with flags for both countries. Could just be a marketing strategy, or there might be differences.
My apologies. Previous Message
Hobby Market is not the maker. The maker is a Greek company called Hellenic Navy. Hobby Market is simply the online store that sells the product. If you look, they also sell other brands like this kit by Grand Models:

The Hellenic Models Asheville does indeed look very nice!

Just received my 1/700 Asheville-Class PGM gun boat from Hobby Market. They are 3D printed and very nicely done. There is Hellenic Navy version also (must have some differences from US version). Hope Hobby Market will release more 1/700 kits.
