in the first instance it was a Fujimi 1/450 Haruna saved from someone's trash bin a decade ago. ![]() ![]() they look like wire cutters. lol Hey Felix, Try angled plastic nippers. Easily took the plastic railings off my old Revel ships nice and clean. I bought the Tsunoda TM-10 Angled Edge Cutters after seeing them recommended by one of those Japanese model makers who turn old plastic ship kits into masterpieces. My guess is any angled cutters will work. And consider replacing your X-Acto knife with any of the Olfa craft knives. Incredibly sharp, high quality blades. Can't recommend them enough for plastic modeling. ![]() So I am looking at another attempt on a shelved kit. I gave up after cutting off the molded in main deck plastic railings did not come off cleanly or easily with an X-acto knift. I am thinking of wire cutters. I reread Ashley and did not learn anything new. Any recommendations when the deck railing are too thick for an X-acto knife? |
