Seems to have been MS 1 for both, but the locally produced Cavite Blue weathered quickly from the evidence of most photos--so much so that it was mistaken for a disruptive scheme.

One more important question - -in February 1942, what the Marblehead's paining scheme? Same as for the USS Houston -- Cavite Blue vertical surfaces, 20B dark blue on the decks? Previous Message
