I have seen the Exeter referred to as a Cathedral Class cruiser, I think in one of the old books on the Exeter. If you want I can try to check the reference when I get home in a few days.

I thought that the Surrey class was cancelled because of the London Conference.
York and Exeter are half-sisters - Exeter should have been a sistership, but was modified.
