The US had given Ukraine security guarantees in return for giving up its nuclear arsenal in 1994. But the US did not prevent Russia from attacking Ukraine in 2014 and 2022.

Now Trump refuses to give Ukraine any security guarantees in case of a ceasefire (!) or peace (!) - to prevent Russia from attacking again.

Now Trump is giving away all his cards in talks with Russia without getting anything in return. Russia is the aggressor, Russia is responsible for this war. Trump is not putting any pressure on the aggressor - instead he wants to blackmail the victim, a country on the brink, into giving up its mineral resources to the USA.

Zelensky made no attempt to draw the US into a hot war. Trump has betrayed his allies and endangered them - not just Ukraine, but the whole of Europe - and is threatening countries in the Americas (Panama, Canada, Greenland, Mexico..). It is disgusting and pathetic...
