I don't order a lot from China, two or three times a year. Never had any issues other than it taking a while. Thought I would share my most recent order.
1/28 ordered an SSModel 1/144 PC-461 kit. If memory serves Trump's tariff flap started a couple days later. I toyed with the idea of cancelling but figured I'd roll the dice. Model shipped 2/12, a bit slow but given the chaos/confusion I really have no complaint. Floated around the Chinese postal system, left the country 2/19.
Arrived in the US 2/20, cleared customs. Hits Bensenville, IL of the 21st, Kansas City the 24th, Des Moines the 26th, and home in Nevada, IA on the 27th
Original delivery estimate was 2/6 to 2/20. A later email pushed it to 3/4. I saw not evidence of increased tariffs nor, oddly, did the package require a signature. It seems most if not all my international stuff comes signature required. All in all I really can't complain. Just over a month given the uncertainties isn't bad.
As an aside, the kit looks nice. This will be my first big 3D project. Came will packed and complete, with an odd, almost sticky feel to the plastic. Should be a straight forward build if I can get all the parts detached in one piece.
