Since 1948, in no particular order here are the winning electoral college results: 1948-303 '52-442 56-457 '60-303 '64=486 '68-301 '72-520 '76-292
'80-489 '84-525 '88-426 '92-370 '96-379 2000--271 '04-276 '08-332 '12-365 '16-304 '20-306 '24-312. You'll see that there were 7 races decided by a figure lower than the most recent winner's total. There were 11 races in which the total was higher-some considerably so. Six legitimite landslides. Did I know these figures off the top of my head?
