I have read with both interest and concern the debate that has dominated this board for the past week. Clearly, the debate has revealed strong feelings on both sides. This debate is fine, but the unresolved question is where does this end.
This country is still extremely divided. There is no resolution in sight. It may be appropriate, then, to look into past history to discern possible outcomes.
Since naval ship builders are de facto historians, I invite Steel Navy afficionado to examine William Shirer's Rise and Fallof the Third Reich. In particular, please study the years 1933 to 1939. The result may be enlightening (or frightening).

The Trump administration has announced the end of de minimis taxation exemptions for goods from China. This means that whatever comes into this country, no matter how small in value, will be subject to customs duties. So prepare to pay more for your model kits and any other items made in China.
