I have profile photo's of Rodney in 1941 for before and after the US refit and I'm can't tell if the degaussing hull cable was present in May 1941. The after tripod mast appears to be painted the same as in 1939. Turret roof tops are painted dark grey and I would again say the hull and superstructure appears to be "medium grey." The tops of the 16 inch gun barrels are dark grey and the rest medium grey. I don't believe her wood decks were painted in 1941, but if you have ever seen a salt stained teak deck then you know how grey in colour they can get.
40 years ago I thought the Airfix 1/600 KGV was pretty good, but if your converting their 1/600 Nelson to Rodney that seems to be on par with changing a pigs ear to a silk purse!

saw a color drawing showing profile and top view of KGV. I called out 507B for vertical surfaces and 507A for horizontal surfaces. Ugh. Next comes Rodney for the same time. Thanks.
