My HP H-Class in in my summer home, as is NNT's H, so I can't check if they had this new type of small AA gun. HP's Harold P is German and had numerous sources of info including a late friend of mine whose family owned one of the major shipyards (built battleships for the Kaiser) and he was a fanatic about DKM Never-Weres. This gun never came up in years of talks. My build will have the 15cm and 10.5 cm guns replaced by the 12.8cm DP gun and turret. The same turret that the destroyer Z-52 was to use. Two more per side than the Iowa's or the Montana's.

Siegfried Breyer's book refers to a new type of 37mm anti-aircraft gun of which the H class was supposed to have 4 in 2 twin mounts. I think that's supposed to be them. The torpedo tubes are probably a leftover from a mistake. The H class were to have 6 torpedo tubes, 3 on each side, but they were fixed underwater tubes on either side of the bow (I know, that worked so well for Lutzow at Jutland). They must have finished the molds before realizing their mistake.
