Re: While you are so correct about dual hypocrisy, there is one notable exception:
That one was pure right wing extremism, which should not be confused for the entire party any more than the numerous left wing extremists should be taken to represent that party. Had that truly been "Republican," it would have had much wider support, and would have been more than just a bunch of rioting extremists trashing the Capitol. I believe they actually felt most of the nation "was with them," and if they just started something, "everyone" would flock to them. Clearly did not go down that way. The Left is not above violence to try to gain their way. A mob's a mob. And there were two assassination attempts on the candidate. Was that "purely Democrats?" We are a deeply divided nation, on the verge of a civil war. Trump is plainly a polarizing figure, but Biden was as deeply polarizing to the opposition. I read as much passionate hatred spilled at him as Trump. The Left simply blithely dismisses that...at their peril. It is as real a hatred as they have for the Right. "A house divided..." That quote came from just before the (1st?) Civil War. Both sides are rife with hypocrisy and hatred, and the situation just needs the right spark for something much bigger than January 6th to go down. "It takes two to tango." There will be no angels on either side if that happens. Unless we can all manage to calm down... I am not any sort of optimist for the long term. Short term, sure. I can certainly believe there's hope for that. But, the long term trend one sees in the study of humanity shows ever increasing levels of violence. The bigger they come, the harder they fall. The more we become "one world," the bigger our wars are when we have them. And we have pursued and obtained the weapons capable of our mass destruction to go with our bigger conflicts. Our passions will destroy us. That is in the prophecies of nearly every culture because it is so obvious from observing us as a species. We all need to chill. And good luck with that. Previous Message The insurrection of January 6th. That one is pure Republican.
