So in doing this model, I bought the PE set. This includes Type 282 radar that were fitted to the pom pom directors. The PE radars were beyond me to fold without distorting the "guards" for the aerials. I tried to make something reasonable from stretched plastic sprue. The first effort with sprue was too bulky as the stretched sprue was too thick. Next effort with much thinner sprue had other problems with glue. I then used some thin square plastic and made some reasonable guards which when carefully sanded down looked decent...still thick but decent!!! Then I checked my resources and was appalled to find KGV did NOT HAVE Type 282 radar until after her May 41 fight with Bismark. Prince of Wales on the other hand DID have the radar. I wanted to do KGV and Rodney as they were for the battle with Bismark. So should I simply make Prince of Wales instead so the effort at the radars is not wasted?
