I'm going to CAD up an early Gato fairwater for the 1/144th Trumpeter Gato model and I'm curious if there are any good plans out there? I'm partial to early war high fairwater boats like Guardfish (SS-217). I'm aware that the Floating Drydock has some plans in their Bu Series that may well fit the bill, but I'm curious if there's anything else out there before buying. Details of the covered early steering station, for example, are hard to come by. The covered steering station on boats from Guardfish onwards was a few frame lengths shorter than SS-212-216, and that might also have changed the internal arrangement slightly, as well as the porthole details.
