I recently noticed a ?[resin cast]? WWII IJN DD 'Shimakaze' with nice detail and brass etch on-line. Was it a different mfgr.?
Anyone buy one of these.? Previous Message
No, I don't recall that either. I meant that you had posted telling us about your projects here (in this thread.) You are back-dating a Nelson kit, making a silk purse of a sow's ear, converted Missouri, fixed up Cleveland, and such. My "building" is: Assembly 1, glue foredeck to the hull and assemble port and starboard superstructure halves, then glue them to the hull. Etc. Whatever the instructions say. Makes you and David the true model builders by comparison. Previous Message

Yes, I have seen this project of yours when you posted it here before. It's exactly what I mean. You are scratch building and correcting everything, and from plans (which you are able to read.) And, Simon has posted his projects, also correcting his kits. I just assemble a kit, then stick it on my shelf and admire my collection. You are an actual builder. Glad you are capable of this, and it brings you fulfillment. Previous Message

Pretty much everybody here fits that description. I am merely a kit assembler, and not even too great at that, either. It is supposed to be fun. I do it to please myself.
Delighted that you are both engaged in this subject, and I hope you both enjoy this hobby for a good long time to come! Previous Message
