You're talking about "hogging-in padeyes," and you're very close. Not exactly for "attaching" scaffolding, but just for lines to pull scaffolding, or whatever they're sitting on while painting, in close where the hull curves outward above them. The scaffolding itself would be hung and tended from the deck above. Previous Message
Been meaning to ask all these years ..maybe stupid question but what are the circle like rings welded on the bows in rows on the hulls?
Never seen them used for any thing..at sea or in dry docks I always thought they were meant for over-the -side hull painters to attach scaffolding ... running for cover here .
