I found while working on a Hasegawa Hyuga I ended up stretching the wooden deck when I removed it from the plastic layer that protects the glue. This was a KA product, which fit great when I test fitted it. When I applied it, I ended up having too much material. The wood was rather narrow. The only thought I have is I stretch the wood, which, considering the thickness of wouldn’t be too difficult to do. Fortunately, on the main deck of that class, there are 5 inch mounts and I was able to cut the material away and hide the cut underneath the 5 inch mounts. Just something to think of. Perhaps this is one reason, people complain about it, buckling, and not laying down.
