I wouldn't completely rule out one from them, but find it difficult to imagine them doing it in 1/350, and any other, more affordable, scale is just not what they do.
As for the British market, ship kits of any kind just don't sell particularly well. I don't doubt that a kit of the new carrier would sell more than most, but a financial failure just now could kill Airfix.
there is a market for British warships in the home of the British navy, that would give pause to other manufacturers about producing British warships.
If Airfix was the reference point, whether there was a kit or not, there would be almost no model ship kits at all.
There are many available ship model kits that Airfix has not considered - including many British ships.
