Got my copy of this book in the mail yesterday, and I wish I'd saved my money. Lots of excellent, rare training illustrations, diagrams, plans, and posters, but the layout and editing is absolutely terrible. All of the two-page spreads go right through the binding and important details get lost in the gutter. Most of the ship plans are reproduced at too small of a scale to decipher most of the fine details or callouts. The text, sparse as it is, has far too many typos and errors.

I know I've been spoiled by some of Seaforth's recent output, but for a $50 book published by a major publisher, it FEELS amateurish as hell. Ironic that a book that purports to celebrate the forgotten contributions of WWII-era illustrators would so graphically illustrate the importance of proper formatting and editing...
