I developed this technique a few years ago - not super-great, but "cheap and easy", and looks OK:

Good evening all. Those that do the listed displays, do you use Celluclay, Das Clay, or what on your base? Also if you use over a foam board (hobby foam or insulation foam) do you cut slits or poke holes into the board to help it adhere to the foam? Thanks.
