I am no expert but will give what I believe is the most obvious difference between the two. Fuso's third turret is located closer to the funnel and when positioned on centerline, it faces the bow. Yamashiro on the other hand has its third turret closer to the forward superstructure and faces towards the stern when centerline. This was just a quick look at the 1/350 kits on a certain auction site. HTH, Jon

I was hoping one of our IJN buffs could advise as to the differences between Fuso and Yamashiro.
I've found to my chagrin that I have acquired two Yamashiro's and was hoping a couple of quick mods would allow me to convert one into the Fuso.
Any advice would be appreciated.
