I've used Tamiya XF-64 (red-brown, small size) for Japanese linoleum, although in my own build of this model (http://www.modelshipgallery.com/gallery/ca/ijn/takao-350-ra/ra-index.html) I had available, and used, WEM Colourcoats linoleum paint.
