So I think that S-Model in fact produced a dimensionally correct model of the USS Casablanca...

All:
I have the 1/700 S-Model USS Casablanca kit which I purchased from HobbyEasy.com for about $45, which I consider a bit high for what you get, but its a very nicely molded kit - just a rung or so below Flyhawk and VeryFire - maybe comparable to Vee Hobby based on the photos of their kits that I've seen. Looking at the details, it seems to have been inspired by the Hasegawa 1/350 Gambier Bay kit.
Using dimensions provided on the Navsource site and Wikipedia, the hull is spot on in its waterline and overall length (213.15mm and 222.72mm respectively), and about 1mm too narrow beam-wise (it should be 28.3mm). The flight deck is about 2mm too long (it should be 206mm), and 1mm too narrow (it should be 34.8mm). I guess the length problem with the flight deck can be solved with a razor saw if you really want to, but 2mm too long will be acceptable for most modelers. And the flight deck is beautifully detailed.
Anyhow, hope this helps.
Be well.

S-Models has one but it looks kind of rough. Any others easily obtainable?
