Definitely a CVL.
The G503 forums (G503 was the Supply Catalog designation for the Willys MB / Ford GPW jeeps) state that "All U.S. Navy domestic transportation vehicles shall be painted medium gray #123" but I seem to have lost my login for their forums and am waiting for approval to see the full text and source. It's something I've wanted to look into further, but it's lower on the list of priorities.
