CVL-29, USS Bataan has a LeTourneau. And that is borne out by Navsource, 16th photo down in the WWII section (just below the two colorful squadron patches.) Shows her deck gear lined up on her stern in 1944, including the LeTourneau:

Four tractors for CVLs...that is what's lined up in the photo. And they all look like Mototugs. Looks like her full complement of deck gear minus allowed jeeps.

One of the CVLs (San Jacinto I think from memory) experimented with a LeTourneau "Tilly" crane but they were found to be too large for the smaller flight decks of the CVEs and CVLs. The Karry Krane didn't have the same weight capacity or distance as the Tily, but it was well sized for the smaller ships and was issued instead of the LeTourneau crash crane.
Somewhere around here I have a photo of one on an Essex class as well. I believe they were used in limited amounts for more hangar deck type or work, but I haven't found documentation that states "thou shalt use thine Karry Krane for...."
