Way to narrow in width (side to side.) I am comparing it to Tom’s kit. So he was (is) way over scale with resin shrinkage or he got it right. You can feel the joints lines on hull and flight deck with your finger. Raised I guess to provide detail and it certainly shows when you apply paint

I am not a bolt counter so to me it is ok. As I have said it is similar to a Skywave build. The parts seem to be copies of Skywave / Trumpeter/ Hasegawa . Not excellent copies either.

Sprues came in a plastic baggie with a 1 sheet instruction. It was a no-name brand then . Now I see it is being sold by 5 Star who solved the flight deck problem with a photo-etch deck. I also see it referred to as S -Model but not SS Model. Also sold as Global Toy brand.

Whatever but somebody owns the steel molds to it and they seem to be selling runs of the kit.
