So in the HMS Cressy thread below mention was made of the Admiralty order of Nov 11 1914,giving a 20:1 by weight ratio for the required Grey paint.
I'd like to see what this Grey actually looks like, but the weights of these 2 pigments isn't the same, so a mix by volume isn't going to give the correct color.
I've looked up the Lead & Carbon Molecular weights, and came up with a 17.5:1 Weight ratio.
I imagine there are other materials that were included in the paint pigments, but this "should" be close. I'd be glad to hear from anybody that has better information on the weight ratio of White Lead to Lamp Black pigment.
