Funny it did not look gray or even black to me. It a very deep almost black …blue. I would recommend Mr Color Midnight Blue #71 from Gunze Sangyo as first choice. Polly Scale 20B, Polly Scale B&O Royal Blue as seconds. As I said very dark almost black blue.. Oh and I have the S&S chip cards.
Randy Short did a mix guide in Plastic Ship Modeler 1997. He used 2 parts Humbrol 104 (Blue) and one part Humbrol #67 (tank gray)

working on a pre WW II cruiser and discovered I no longer have USN deck gray. I have a considerable mount of aircraft gray and 5D. My question without having to go online for a single small ship what color is a passable deck gray.
