I let white glue dry a bit. I place the turret(s) in table top vise with turret face facing up. I dry fit the barrel into to turret face ensure it fits. If the barrel topples I may open the seating hole using pin vise . If the seating hole is too large I will use a little more white glue on the barrel end. I dip the barrel end into the white glue and then into face of turret. Gravity does the rest and I let dry overnight. White glue dries clear and I don’t have to worry if it gets on turret face. Clean up with Q-tip and water.

I'm having some issues getting some brass barrels glued to resin turrets. I've attached them and used CA glue to get them permanently set, but strangely they're still quite loose. I even roughed up the brass so it would have some bite.
Should I opt for epoxy? or will the curing of it screw up the resin?
