Of course it does, and of course I didn't even think of that - and I even try and fuel up in the summer mornings when the gasoline is more dense! A lot of the fueling entries from CVE-26 Sangamon even state the temperature the fuel was delivered at.
Fueling in general can be a PITA as when one compares entries from two different ships the totals can vary substantially. But if one rolls left and the other rolls right one might understand why differences existed in the measurement systems of the day.....
So much for simple and easy answers.
