Bill
Bill if you haven't contacted this printer beforehand send him a message and ask if he does 1/700. Name: mulsannemike
He is in NC.
Find him in ebay advanced search - sellers
I have his screw set for 1/350 Dragon Ohio and Alanger/Zvedza 1/350 Delta IV and both are high quality and printed to the correct shapes.
Does several scales but nothing on offer for 1/700. May fill a request.
Would be nice if someone offered 1/700 3D Printed Screws for subs. Sorry the photo-etch screws are for the birds. You have to find a photo of the screw. Not easy. I guess OKB had same problem. OKB’s early offering of subs had photo-etch screws. Next you have to be expert in bending and shaping .
Noticed OKB Grigorov is offering a nice looking 1/700 LA Class Flight I and is departing from photo-etch screws and has what appears to be either 3D printed or resin casted screw. He is not the first to do it. Ralph Ratcliffe offered casted screws when he was doing 1/700 USN subs.
Ralph, I have seen this problem before and recently in a 1/350 prototype kit. In my case, I am working with the individual in the company to correct the screw design before the kit issues. Right hand turn, leading edges forward.
At least you have a photo etch option. And in 1/700, you, me, and 4 other guys would probably notice if you used the plastic screw.
Got my Riich Model 1/700 SSGN Thursday, but am only just now getting into it with a quiet weekend.
In an earlier thread, you had asked about the screw.

Well... I have stared and stared at the plastic one provided. It is "right hand turn," but the blade twist angle is backward! The leading edges of the blades are towards the stern. Turn this screw in its "normal" direction, and it will pull the boat in reverse. LOL.
PE screws are provided, and they are flat. They can then be given their own blade twist.
Otherwise, it is a nice model, I think. I would not know its accuracy beyond something this obvious, but there are lots of surface details molded on, and the fit so far has been good. Online images had shown gray plastic, but mine comes in a nice appropriate black plastic. It has the widened area where the deck shelters are.
Thought I would let you know.
I could email you photos if you'd like.
