Vietnam: Deck gray with varying amounts of black added, white mortar box lid and a large
white star, in a blue circle, on the pilot house roof
Vietnam Riverine Operations: Dull green with black camouflage patterns (authorized in May 1970)
I quizzed a shipmate who was on coastal PCF's off VN and with me at SBU11 in Mare Island who concurred with that above. At MI, the MK1 and Mk2 were all green. PCF 104 at Coronado was initially green but lately gray with a puke green interior. That light green was common to most surface ship interiors but not typical for overseas PCF's. Your model's color largely depends on how you member it or want it to look. There is a great vid on youtube showing a Revell 1/48 PCF detailing: www.youtube.com/watch?v=bcw1ivXNgX4
Hi All,
My friend Bob is going to finish my 1/72 PCF from Revell for me. A sidebar ... the fit looks good. Although he had to fill in a few injection marks and build up an nterior hatch/door ...
The question: What color(s) was/were the interior? White?
