Many places on the ship are accessible, including all the way down to the propulsion spaces. They have an overnight program for groups, which I did years ago with the Boy Scouts. Gave me a chance to thoroughly explore.
Not to be missed is the huge collection of models on board the Massachusetts, built by local IPMS chapters. As mentioned, the Nautilus museum is just off of Rt. 95 on the way up to Fall River. If you come that far, you should also consider the Salem cruiser museum and USS Constitution in Boston.
Never been to the North Carolina museum, but have been to Patriot’s Point and Midway in San Diego.

Hello- has anyone here been to see the museum ships at either of these locations ?
I live about an hour & a half from Camden, NJ- and have visited BB-62 roughly 8 times.
A road trip to MA or NC is in order for me.
Opions on either site would be helpful, as well as other attractions nearby each.
Better yet; has anyone here visited both sites & has an opinion of one versus the other ?
This'll help formulate my decision on which one to go to, so thank you !!
