I suspect you are right and they may never be found. I imagine Soryu will be in much the same condition as Kaga with very little left. Hiryu might be in (relatively) better shape judging by the pictures taken of her before sinking. Mikuma will be a wreck.

Soryu should be relatively close by Akagi and Kaga. Hiryu, on the other hand, steamed north for a considerable time so finding her may be difficult.
Mikuma, was alone, if I remember correctly, so where she sank is another huge area.

I understand from reports that there is very little left of Kaga. Yorktown appears to be in pretty good shape. I wonder if they'll ever find Hiryu, Soryu and Mikuma? Previous Message

I didn't see this posted. It looks like the Midway carriers are finally being examined again - Kaga, Yorktown, and finally Akagi!
