Hi Ralph,

Treaty cruisers carried four, but most battleships carried only three in the 1930s. Fleet flagships would sometimes carry a fourth for the admiral.

I just picked up a great book on the subject (wink, wink, nudge, nudge, know-wad-I-mean).
