Also I own both 1/700 North Dakota and Arkansas. Check out both links that Ralph Wood sent. Look at the far left and be sure to hit the down arrow and then enlarge the pictures. You will see exactly what is in the box. The best photos you need to see are not seen unless you do this.
Note that the superstructure and cage masts with tops are all in one piece. That makes it virtually impossible to paint any of the decks different colors than the color you paint whole piece -- at least for me and likely for 95 % of builders.
That said the detail is stunning. Previous Message
I am very interested in the SSModel WWI-era Arkansas and North Dakota. I am leery of their advertising, though. They appear to use the same images for all scales from 1:1250 to 1:350, which benefits the smaller scales, and makes them appear to have an amazing amount of detail.
Has anybody bought one of these ships? I am very keen on the them because 3D has given model designers a way to approximate the look of cage masts; the bogey that has kept a fleet of great dreadnoughts from being modeled.
Any help would be very appreciated. Reviews or images of completed models would be helpful.
