I also remember an ME-110 that was painted in glossy brown, orange and bright green colors. It ended up as a firecracker/smoke bomb target.
There was also an Aurora N-156F Freedom Fighter and a HH-3 Jolly Green.
The ship models I remember are the Aurora USS Enterprise with 3 whole airplanes for the deck. Later came a USS America, a Saratoga and a Midway. There was a Bismark and a Revell Massachusetts in there too. And the Arizona. The USS Enterprise came later and was a favorite.
These were all left behind (and trashed) when I went off to college. Nowadays I have a large stash which includes some of these same kits to be done as a nostalgia build. Have just recently started building again and enjoying it.

My first model kit was the 1/570 Revell Titanic, gifted to me during Christmas 1992 at age 8. My older brother was gifted the Revell 1/530 USS Lexington at the same time. I have both kits to this day in a box, mostly intact.
I would go to my local hobby shop as often as my parents would take me and I spent my allowance money on models and supplies there.
One kit stands out most in my memory, the Airfix 1/600 King George V. After building so many Revell kits, this kit stands out most, with the Airfix 1/600 Repulse next. They just seemed so much more detailed. The Revell 1/570 North Carolina was the first kit I built on my own, and it is special to me as well.
What say you?
